ABOUT PAULA

Paula Graves is Paula, Merry, and Prairie Pug. She grew up in Kansas City, then married The Rancher with their life based from a large cattle ranch in Kansas. Until...she met a fork in the road. A life changing decision would change 30 years of marriage into The Past.

 

Oh, yes...Paula is manic having aka bi-polar disorder. Far from defining her, it took 54 years for any reputable Dr to warrant this diagnoses. It then required 4 years for her to accept it and the medication. But this is not about meds or mania as much as it is a reflection on her life as seen through the eyes of a Pug. 

 

Prairie Pug is the quiet observer who processes situations and acts consciously. Merry is the sometimes impulsive spouse, mother, artist, preservation consultant, writer and architectural designer propelled into a life of ventures and adventure. But it is Paula who is responsible for drawing a line. There was no turning back.

 

Paula processes the past through storytelling. Prairie Pug returns to Merry’s life, now seeing the compulsive working, creating, eating and challenges with close relationships. Prairie Pug re-visits places, realizing lessons learned by Merry and Pug. They are together, yet apart.

 

Can you relate to this visit to the past? It is the life of our youth and parents’ stories Re-lived and Re-told to our children who make it their own. Grow up and grow Old in a Life well-lived.
